| Adlai Stevenson - 'Better A Hole In The Shoe Than A Hole In The Head' |

Description
During Adlai Stevenson's 1952 presidential campaign, a photographer caught a picture of Stevenson with a big hole in his shoe. "Better a hole in the shoe than a hole in the head!" he said to the guy, a remark typical of his quick wit.
The Stevenson campaign went on to use that as a symbol of Stevenson's down-to-earth character, work ethic and frugality. Today that image is part of our political history.
There's even a statue based on that photo at the Central Illinois Regional Airport!
That's just one of many designs at Retro Campaigns, where we celebrate unique characters from American political history, like Stevenson, Robert Kennedy, Barry Goldwater, Wendell Willkie, George McGovern, etc.
We like to have fun with them, but we also think it's important to remember candidates from the past, many of whom have made significant contributions to our country both before and after their election(s).
I'm including some other designs from our collection. Come check us out!User reviews
